Ukraine, Czech Republic sign memorandum of cooperation between entrepreneurs

The Exporters and Investors Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic signed a memorandum that will facilitate the establishment of contacts and the development of cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

As the Embassy of Ukraine in the Czech Republic informs, the document was signed by Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic Yevhen Perebyinis and President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Hanák.

“The document provides for establishment of cooperation between the parties in order to disseminate information that can enhance trade between Ukraine and the Czech Republic, provide information and advisory support to members of the Exporters and Investors Council and the Confederation during visits to Ukraine and the Czech Republic, mutual support in economic and investment activities, assistance in establishing contacts and developing cooperation between Ukrainian and Czech entrepreneurs,” the statement reads.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Ukraine and the President of the Czech Confederation of Industry discussed the current state and prospects of expanding Ukrainian–Czech cooperation in trade, economic, and investment spheres, including in the context of overcoming the negative economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

The parties also exchanged views on the bilateral economic measures planned for this year, in particular, the preparation for the next meeting of the Ukrainian–Czech Joint Commission on Economic, Industrial, and Scientific–Technical Cooperation which traditionally hosts the Ukrainian–Czech Business Forum.

On May 31, the Exporters and Investors Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency signed a memorandum that will help intensify cooperation between Ukrainian and Slovak enterprises.
