Motor Sich Airlines will launch direct flights from Kyiv to Chernivtsi and back from April 12, Director of Chernivtsi International Airport Serhiy Tomniuk told Ukrinform.

"Indeed, we will resume regular flights to the capital from April. Regarding the AN-24 aircraft, which will carry out transportation, they are quite reliable, we ourselves are interested in safety," Tomniuk said.

Flights will be operated by a 50-year-old An-24 aircraft three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Earlier, UIA performed direct flights from Kyiv to Chernivtsi. However, in 2020, after a decline in air traffic due to quarantine restrictions, the airline stopped flying on this route.
