Pandemic accelerates digital transformation process – Fedorov

The coronavirus pandemic has accelerated the process of digital transformation and the creation of new projects in Ukraine and around the world, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov says.

He said this on the air of Radio NV, Ukrinform reports with reference to the website of the Digital Transformation Ministry.

According to the minister, “we see a trend of accelerating the digital transformation process in all countries. We had a meeting with the Minister for Digitalization of Luxembourg, and they have very similar cases - for example, there is a similar application that helps stop the spread of coronavirus disease. In general, the medical direction in startups is now actively developing. "

Today, technical and medical companies are merging to maintain digital records of vaccination against COVID-19, in particular the status of the vaccinated person and the number of doses received. The initiative brings together many well-known healthcare and technology companies, such as Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce and Epic, as well as Mayo Clinic, Safe Health, Change Healthcare, and the CARIN Alliance, Fedorov said.

He recalled that Ukrainians will soon be able to sign up for COVID-19 vaccination through the Diia app. The Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Health are developing an effective digital tool to simplify the vaccination process for Ukrainians.

As Ukrinform reported, Fedorov said that Ukraine had the opportunity to implement new European legislation and carry out the reform of the digital sphere simultaneously with the countries of the European Union.
