Ukraine, EU could sign four agreements at Association Council
“With regard to agreements… the Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products and the Common Aviation Area Agreement could be signed. There are high chances that the INTERBUS Agreement on the international occasional carriage of passengers by coach and bus in Europe will be signed and the rules of the Regional Convention on pan-Euro-Mediterranean preferential rules of origin could be expanded during the meeting," Mykola Tochytskyi, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium, Representative of Ukraine to the European Union, said at an online briefing as part of the conference of heads of foreign diplomatic missions, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
He noted that the agenda of the Association Council meeting will be quite busy not only in view of the possible signing of agreements.
"We need to have a fairly thorough exchange of views on the annexes to those regulations that can be revised in the trade sphere. This is quite thorough and serious work. In addition, we will need to assess the level of our implementation of the Association Agreement. That is, the afternoon of February 11 will be quite busy," the diplomat said.
As reported, Ukraine and the European Union agreed to hold the Association Council meeting on February 11, 2021.
