Ukraine sees vehicle production grow by 25% in Nov - Ukrautoprom

Some 638 vehicles were manufactured in Ukraine in November 2020, which was almost a quarter more than in the same month in 2019, the Ukrainian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Ukrautoprom) has reported.

According to the report, compared to October this year, the country's vehicle production shrank by 7%.

Some 545 passenger cars were produced last month, which was 24% more than in November 2019, but 10% less than in October 2020. Some 311 cars were assembled at Eurocar and 234 at ZAZ.

Nine commercial vehicles were produced in Ukraine in November this year (excluding the statistics of AvtoKrAZ, which stopped disclosing information about its production in August 2016), or four vehicles more than in November 2019 and five vehicles more than in October this year.

Bus production also increased in November. Some 84 buses were assembled in Ukraine, which was 27% more than in November 2019 and 9% more than in October this year.

In total, 4,429 vehicles were manufactured in Ukraine in January-November 2020, which was 34% less than in the first eleven months of 2019. Ukrainian plants assembled 3,756 passenger cars (36% less than in January-November 2019), 45 commercial vehicles (down 61%), and 628 buses (down 18%).
