Russia has carried out its seventh attack on Ukraine's thermal power plants since early October, damaging the stations' equipment.

DTEK Group reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Russia has once again attacked DTEK's thermal power plants. As a result of the attack, TPP equipment was damaged," the statement said.

This is the seventh large-scale attack on the company's thermal power plants since October. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK TPPs have been targeted by the enemy more than 210 times. Russian attacks have injured 59 energy workers at the plants and killed four.

During the combined attack on December 23, Russia used more than 600 drones and dozens of missiles, striking Ukraine's energy facilities, mostly in the western regions.

The attack has forced a reduction in output at nuclear power plants. The Rivne region is almost completely without electricity, and power outages also affect consumers in seven other regions. Emergency power outage schedules are in effect across Ukraine.
