Chernihiv region plans to spend over UAH 23M on tourism development

Chernihiv Regional Council of the eighth convocation has adopted a target program for the development of tourism in the region for 2021-2027 worth UAH 23.6 million.
"The program activities will be funded by the regional budget allocations provided for in the estimates of the authorized executors of the program, as well as by local budgets and other sources not prohibited by law," the explanatory note to the document says.
It also notes that, thanks to a similar program for 2013-2020, the region has observed a positive trend in the development of the tourism industry, but its general level does not yet correspond to potential opportunities. The new program will enable to continue work on the further development of the industry.
