Average salary in September grows by 12.3% – State Statistics Service

In September 2020, the average nominal salary in Ukraine amounted to UAH 11,998, which is 12.3% higher compared with September 2019, according to the State Statistics Service.

The average nominal salary of Ukrainians in September 2020 was 2.4 times higher than the minimum wage (UAH 5,000). Compared to August 2020, the average nominal wage rose by 4.8%.

The highest average nominal salaries in September were recorded in the information and telecommunications sector UAH 20,089 (up 17.7% from September 2019), in the financial and insurance sector – UAH 19,332 (up 7.8%), in the sector of professional, scientific and technical activities – UAH 17,092 (up 16.1%).

The lowest average nominal salaries in September were recorded in the temporary accommodation and catering sector - UAH 6,557 (down 3.3% from September 2019), in the healthcare and social assistance sector - UAH 8,931 (up 29.1%), and services connected with immovable property - UAH 9,330 (up 8.6%).
