In January-September 2020, Gas Transmission System Operator (TSO) of Ukraine LLC transported 6.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas in short-haul mode. The growth of demand for short-haul services has risen tenfold since the beginning of the year, according to the press service of the company.

In particular, transit volumes from Slovakia amounted to 4.1 billion cubic meters, from Hungary - 1.5 billion cubic meters, from Poland - 0.5 billion cubic meters. Since the launch of short-haul services, 24 non-resident customers and five Ukrainian companies used the service.

In September 2020, gas transit in short-haul mode amounted to 1.2 billion cubic meters. The decrease compared to August was due to higher loading of Ukrainian gas storage facilities. However, gas transit in short-haul mode in September 2020 was 80 times higher than volumes recorded at the beginning of the year.
