In July, Ukraine’s airline SkyUp Airlines resumed 50% of its pre-coronavirus operating activities, according to the airline's press service.

"In the first month of operation after the lifting of bans on passenger air transportation within the country and abroad, SkyUp Airlines resumed 50% of its pre-coronavirus operating activities," the report says.

The airline notes that it has operated 704 domestic and international flights, including 438 charter and 266 regular flights.

“We carried 25,433 passengers by flights within Ukraine. Another 70,974 passengers took advantage of our international flights. Among the two current international regular routes - Albania and Bulgaria - our passengers more often chose Albania," SkyUp reports.

Most of the passengers flew to Turkey by charter flights. Sharm el-Sheikh was the most popular destination among the Egyptian routes.

In addition, in July, SkyUp Airlines continued to carry out freight transportation. In particular, 23 tonnes of cargo were transported by cargo and passenger flights.

As reported, adaptive quarantine is in force in Ukraine until August 31. That is, restrictive measures can be relaxed or intensified depending on the epidemic situation in each region.

Scheduled international flights were resumed on June 15 after a months-long break due to the coronavirus pandemic. Domestic air traffic was resumed on June 5.
