The Ukrainian Finance Ministry and the French company Natixis have signed an agreement that provides for the French government’s official support of a drinking water supply project in Mariupol, according to the Finance Ministry’s press service.

"On March 3, 2020, Finance Minister Oksana Markarova signed an Agreement with the French company Natixis on the application of the Framework Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the French Republic on the official support of a drinking water supply project in Mariupol. The agreement regulates the terms of the use and repayment of the loan under the Framework Agreement. The loan is provided by the Government of the Republic of France, represented by Natixis, in the amount not exceeding EUR 64 million,” reads the statement.

This project is among the priorities of the Ukrainian government. Its implementation will allow the city of Mariupol to improve the quality of drinking water services that are vital to its 450,000 citizens.
