Passenger traffic at Kyiv Airport fell by 20% in January

Passenger flow at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) in January 2020 decreased by 20.4% compared to January 2019, the airport’s press service reports on its Facebook page.

“In January 2020, Kyiv International Airport provided air services to 178.8 thousand passengers, which is 20.4% less than in January 2019. The number of passengers serviced by the airport on international flights totaled 176.9 thousand, and on domestic flights – 1.9 thousand passengers," reads the report.

It notes that the number of flights in January 2020 included 1,838 for arrivals and departures, which is 19.5% less than in the same period of 2019, of which there were 1,629 international flights and 209 domestic flights.

The most popular international destinations in January 2020 were Minsk (Belarus), Warsaw (Poland), Vienna (Austria), Berlin (Germany), Memmingen (Germany), Frankfurt am Main (Germany), and Budapest (Hungary). Among domestic flights Zaporizhzhia was the most popular direction.
