NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine could be privatized after unbundling is completed.

"After unbundling is completed, nothing obstructs the privatization of Naftogaz, it costs a lot of money... [It could be privatized] partially or completely, as they choose. And this will end the debate over salaries in Naftogaz... If the state wants to retain a budget donor, end the debate over salaries, improve corporate governance to possibly get even more money, and get a substantial sum from this company one off, there is a very easy way," Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

To start with, a minority stake of Naftogaz may be placed on the stock exchange, he added.

"If the result is good, sell everything else. Naftogaz can be prepared for IPO in three years. The company has monopoly functions now. We no longer see the risks to the country's energy security under normal regulation. Take a step and close the discussions," Kobolyev added.
