Azerbaijan plans to invest another USD 1.5 bln in Ukraine – ambassador

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Ukraine Azer Khudiyev said this during a joint meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Samat Ordabaev and Chairman of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleksiy Kucher on January 21, the press service of Kharkiv Regional State Administration reported.

“Last year alone, we invested USD 1 billion. We want to invest another USD 1.5 billion in Ukraine,” Khudiyev said.

During the visit to Kharkiv region, a delegation led by the ambassadors will hold a series of meetings with business representatives of the region.

The ambassadors noted that the creation of a favorable investment and business climate in the country, in particular in Kharkiv region, was an important factor for deepening economic cooperation.

Among the promising areas of cooperation are the IT industry, manufacturing, agriculture and the implementation of infrastructure projects, in particular road construction.
