Ukraine increases gas imports by 44% - Ukrtransgaz

In January-September 2019, Ukraine imported 11.6 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 44% more than in the relevant period last year, JSC Ukrtransgaz reported with a reference to the data provided by the GTS Operator of Ukraine.

"In the first nine months of 2019, 11.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas were imported into Ukraine, an increase of 44% from the relevant period last year," reads the report.

It is noted that the imported gas came exclusively from EU countries.

In addition, since the beginning of the year, natural gas supplies from Ukrainian gas production enterprises as of October 1, 2019 remained at the level of the previous year - 15.5 billion cubic meters.

As Ukrinform reported, as of early October, Ukraine increased its gas reserves up to 20.5 billion cubic meters, an increase of 4.2 billion cubic meters from the relevant period last year.
