Ukraine has increased gas reserves up to 20.5 billion cubic meters, which is 4.2 billion cubic meters more than in the same period last year.

The press service of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine reported this on October 4.

"Ukraine has increased the volume of gas in underground storage facilities up to 20.5 billion cubic meters, which is 4.2 billion cubic meters more than on the same date last year," the report says.

Gas injection into underground storage facilities will continue until the start of the heating season, the company stressed.

As reported, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine earlier planned to accumulate about 20 billion cubic meters of gas to ensure the stable heating season of 2019-2020.

According to Naftogaz Board Chairman Andriy Kobolyev, the natural gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storage facilities are enough to ensure the reliable operation of the gas transmission system and the supply of natural gas to all Ukrainian consumers this winter.
