Ukraine, Qatar discuss implementation of infrastructure and IT projects

"The Ukrainian delegation led by Finance Minister Oksana Markarova began a working visit to Qatar. The Ukrainian delegation met with the top management of the Commercial Bank of Qatar, the country's largest banking institution, which provides banking, investment and insurance services. The parties discussed the progress of Ukraine in the implementation of reforms over the past two years. Special attention was paid to reforming the state banking sector and introducing corporate governance. Representatives of both sides agreed that Ukraine and Qatar could successfully cooperate in the implementation of infrastructure and IT projects," the statement reads on Facebook.

In addition, the Ukrainian delegation met with CEO of Qatar Stock Exchange Rashid Al-Mansoori to exchange experiences and explore partnership opportunities. The parties also discussed the upcoming visit of the management of Qatar Stock Exchange to Kyiv for holding negotiations with Ukrainian companies interested in bilateral cooperation.

During the visit, the Ukrainian side will also meet with senior members of the National Bank of Qatar and representatives of the Qatar Investment Authority.
