Average wage in Ukraine grew to UAH 7,360

The average nominal wage in Ukraine more than twice exceeded the established minimum wage and totaled UAH 7,360 as of July 1, the government’s portal reports.

“The average nominal wage in Ukraine over the year (June 2016 against June 2017) grew by 37.9% and totaled UAH 7,360 as of July 1. This is 2.3 times higher than the statutory minimum salary established since the beginning of the year,” reads the report.

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the average wage grew by 7.6% against May 2016.

"The real wage in June 2016, compared with May, increased by 5.8%, and by 18.9% compared with June 2016,” reads the report by the State Statistics Service.

A rise in wages was recorded in the industry, transport sector, partially in the aviation industry, in IT and telecommunications.
