Infrastructure Minister Omelian: Construction of toll roads to begin in 2019

“We hope that pilot roads will be the Lviv-Krakovets and Kyiv-Uman concession roads, which will be a part of the autobahn that will connect the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea, the so-called ‘Go Highway’ from Gdansk to Odesa. But I remind you that concession roads will be built simultaneously with the existing free roads. Everyone will have a choice: either travel longer along a not very convenient road, or choose a European motorway and pay a fee,” the minister said.

At the same time Omelian stressed that the prospect for development of toll roads in Ukraine depends on economic growth.
