French Storengy operator to audit Ukrainian gas storage facilities

The Storengy company, French operator of underground gas storage facilities, will perform a technical audit of Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities as part of a comprehensive study.

This is reported by the press service of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.

"Storengy, one of the leading operators of underground gas storage facilities in the world, will perform a technical audit of each facility. Having analyzed the initial data, the team will visit the storage facilities and prepare a detailed technical assessment," the statement reads.

The audit is performed within the framework of the project for the comprehensive study of Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities, which is funded by the European Union and is aimed at developing a sustainable economic approach to the use of Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities in the context of the European and Ukrainian energy markets. Naftogaz takes part in the work of the project steering committee together with other stakeholders, including representatives of the Ukrainian government.
