$1.5 bn raised for Ukraine’s road infrastructure development in a year – Infrastructure Ministry

The Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine raised $1 billion in budget funds and $500 million in loans from the World Bank and the EBRD for the development of the domestic road infrastructure over a year.

Deputy Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Viktor Dovhan said this at the press conference on May 22, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We managed to raise a billion dollars in budget funds and half a billion dollars in loans from the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the road infrastructure development," Dovhan said.

He added that Ukraine would also receive a $400 million loan from the Chinese Eximbank for the construction of a bridge between towns Kremenchug and Horishni plavni and construction of the Shulyavsky overpass in Kyiv.
