The National Bank of Ukraine believes that the trade blockade with the occupied regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions will not have a significant impact on the level of consumer inflation in 2017-2018.

The press service of the NBU reports following the results of the extraordinary meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee, during which the parties agreed on the updated forecasts of the National Bank for 2017-2018 taking into account the effect of the trade blockade of the occupied regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"The trade blockade with ORDLO will not have a significant impact on the rate of consumer inflation in 2017-2018. Therefore, the National Bank does not expect significant changes in inflation forecasts (9.1% in 2017 and 6.0% in 2018)," the report says.
