Ukraine can stop buying anthracite coal from Donbas – Ihor Nasalyk

Ukraine has enough resources to stop purchasing anthracite coal produced in Donbas, if a relevant political decision is taken.
Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalik said this on 1+1 TV Channel on Thursday evening.
“If there is a political decision at the level of state that the exchange of goods no longer takes place, then Ukraine has enough resources to refuse completely from the anthracite group,” the minister said.
At the same time, he noted that Government must find additional UAH15 billion if such a decision is approved.
“We should realize that this is UAH 15 billion in additional funds and we should understand by what means this UAH 15 billion [will be raised],” Nasalyk said.
