This spring, Ukraine and Australia signed the agreement on peaceful use of nuclear fuel.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia Mykola Kulynych speaks about the condition of this agreement in an interview with Ukrinform.
"For Ukraine, the conclusion of this agreement is a vital step. As earlier we bought nuclear fuel in Russia, with which the trade relations were terminated for obvious reasons. Australia offered to cover from 30% to 70% of our needs in nuclear fuel that can actually make it as a strategic supplier of nuclear fuel for Ukrainian nuclear power plants," Kulynych said.
According to him, this document is a huge economic support for the political cooperation between two countries.
