Rivne Airport in western Ukraine to resumes air links in July

Rivne Airport is launching charter flights to the Turkish resort of Antalya from July 10, 2016, Rivne Regional State Administration’s press service reports.

According to Rivne Regional State Administration Chairman Ihor Tymoshenko, who is in charge of technical issues for the resumption of Rivne Airport, representatives of one airline are seriously interested in possible use of the airport for charter flights. In particular, the first charter to Antalya is planned for launch on July 10.

“The company plans to attract not only the residents of Rivne Region, but also Volyn Region, Zhytomyr, Ternopil and Khmelnytsky. Thus, we will provide certain competition for Lviv Airport. The first flight is scheduled for July 10… Charter flights are scheduled for the summer period. However, if there is a positive result, then we will consider the issue of autumn-spring flights,” he said.
