Russia cuts pensions to Crimean residents
She has said about this in an exclusive interview for a Ukrinform correspondent.
“This is yet another myth, designed for credulous people. For instance, I know that mass recalculation of pensions according to the Russian laws started at the Pension Fund of Crimea. Out of 556,000, the first 6,000 have been recalculated. They are simply in shock, because pensions according to the Russian law for local residents are lower against they were before,” Denisova said.
She reminded that in Crimea, first, all payments have been automatically raised by 25%. “They expected that later they will make recalculations and everything will coincide, but it was not so. Now they think how to preserve the pensions at least within the limits of previous Ukrainian payments. Since it is necessary to take from anyone in order to give them,” the Minister said.
The Minister is convinced that the Russians would have to learn from us in the social sphere. “I was told that when one of deputies of my counterpart in Russia arrived in Crimea and familiarized with the Ukrainian law, he confessed in a private conversation: in social insurance and aid to families with children, Russia lags behind Ukraine by seven years. In other words, they will have to catch up with us in many things,” Denisova summed up.
