Arbuzov: Ukraine, IMF mission to discuss terms of new lending program
Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov told this to reporters on Monday, a UKRINFORM correspondent said.
"We will discuss the conditions of a new [lending] program with the IMF," Arbuzov said.
He said that Ukraine still wants to talk about the amounts and the conditions that were recorded in the previous memorandum. Ukraine expects to get a new loan from the IMF in the amount of 15 billion dollars.
Arbuzov said that there were no reasons for the revision of the amount of the loan.
It is planned that the IMF mission will arrive in Ukraine on January 24.
As reported, the Stand-By Arrangement approved by the IMF in 2010 envisaged the allocation of a USD 15.5 billion loan to Ukraine by the end of 2012. The first two tranches amounting to USD 3.4 billion had already been received, but the IMF suspended the funding in 2011, because Ukraine refused to increase gas tariffs for households.
