Kyiv has highest average salary in Ukraine - State Statistics Service

. In October 2012, the average salary of one full-time employee of Kyiv was 4,600 UAH, which is 13.5 percent higher than in the same period last year, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.

According to statistics, in October, the highest salaries were received by staffers in Kyiv - 4,688 UAH, Donetsk region - 3,622 UAH and Dnipropetrovsk region - 3,208 UAH, and the lowest in Ternopil (2,266 UAH) and Chernihiv (2,370 UAH) regions. Thus, the metropolitan wage was the highest in Ukraine.

The average salary in Ukraine in October 2012 amounted to 3,110 UAH, which is 1.5% more than in the previous month.

According to the State Statistics Service, the highest wages in October were recorded in the field of air transport - an average of 10,420 UAH, the lowest in the fishing industry (1,672 UAH), forestry (2,192 UAH) and health care (2,215 UAH).
