Obozrevatel: Russia demands repayment of UAH 3.2bn in UESU debt
. The Russian Federation represented by the Ministry of Defense, despite the preliminary agreement, filed a claim of UAH 3.2 billion against Ukraine, reads a publication posted on the website of the on-line edition Obozrevatel.
“Quite specific claim for a substantial sum, announced at the pre-trial proceedings in the Economic Court of Kyiv (case No. 5011-61/11342012) - this is a direct consequence of work on the Ukrainian market of the UESU Corporation [by Yulia Tymoshenko]", notes the author Volodymyr Volanin and provides a copy of the ruling of the Economic Court of Kyiv dated September 5, 2012.
Obozrevatel points out that in such cases there is no statute of limitations, and this was confirmed on September 5 in the first trial by judge Ivchenko. In the state-to-state practice for the debts of private companies (UESU), if the guarantor was the state (the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with Prime Minister Pavlo Lazarenko), there can be no indulgence.
It is also noted that Yulia Tymoshenko, once taking the position of Prime Minister of Ukraine, tried through the resources of the state to compensate for the Russian Federation a higher debt of the UESU Corporation. The signing of the scandalous "2009 gas contract" between Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers of Yulia Tymoshenko (contractor - Naftogaz of Ukraine) and the Russian government of Vladimir Putin (contractor - Gazprom) with the following considerable increase in direct losses for Ukraine - this is a consequence of this tactic.
