Ukrainian cheeses to undergo check again
. Experts will be sent to Ukraine again in the coming days for inspection of the enterprises that intend to deliver cheese to the Russian market.
Rospotrebnadzor head, Russia's Chief Health Officer Gennady Onishchenko said this on Monday, vzglyad.ru reported.
"The new check may take place this week. An exact date has not yet been set," Onishchenko said.
As reported, April 3, Ukraine's Minister of Economic Development and Trade Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine and Russia had agreed on lifting restrictions on imports of Ukrainian hard and semi-hard cheeses after the Ukrainian side studies the comments of the Russian commission in charge.
February 8, Rospotrebnadzor put on its website information about the ban on imports of cheeses made by three Ukrainian companies - Prometey (Chernihiv region), Pyriatyn cheese factory (Poltava region) and Hadiachsyr (Poltava region).
February 27, Russia banned cheese imports from four more Ukrainian companies - Bashtanka, Lozova, Khmelnytsky and Bel Shostka Ukraine.
Rospotrebnadzor claimed that a large amount of palm oil was found in the Ukrainian cheeses. Ukraine's veterinary service called these claims unfounded.
