Putin attacks Ukraine's border in five regions

Russian troops have attacked Ukraine's state border from Russia and Belarus.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service announced this on Facebook.

"At about 05:00, the state border of Ukraine in the area bordering with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus was attacked by Russian troops supported by Belarus. Attacks on border units, border patrols and checkpoints are being carried out using artillery, heavy equipment and small arms. This is happening within the Luhansk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions," the report reads.

In addition, the attack is underway from the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The work of the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance groups was also recorded.

Information on injuries among Ukrainian border guards is being clarified.
