Second batch of U.S. weapons arrives in Ukraine

A plane with 80 tons of weapons landed in Kyiv – the second batch of U.S. defense aid as part of a $200 million package.

“The second bird in Kyiv! More than 80 tons of weapons to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities from our friends in the USA! And this is not the end,” Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov posted on Twitter on January 23.

As reported, on the night of January 22, the first batch of defense aid from the United States arrived at the Boryspil Airport as part of a $200 million package approved by President Biden in December 2021.
