About 32,500 Russian soldiers currently stationed in occupied Crimea

Currently, 32,500 Russian soldiers are stationed in the occupied Crimea; 11,500 of them compose a land force.

Commander of the Joint Forces of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Serhiy Nayev informed that 200 armoured vehicles, 31 tanks, 100 artillery systems, 34 helicopters, 63 planes, 684 units of military equipment, 32,500 Russian servicepersons, including 11,500 members of a land force, currently stay on the territory of occupied Crimea.

"Yes, this information is true. I want to add that the land force itself numbers 11,500 people. The entire composition [32,500 Russian military] in the temporarily occupied territory includes the Russian Navy, as well as air defense forces and equipment. The land force consists of two brigades and one battalion," Nayev said on air of the Ukrainian 1+1 TV channel.

Earlier, the Commander of the Joint Forces of Ukraine’s Armed Forces stated that Ukrainian military had considered several scenarios of a possible Russian attack along the border but there is no threat of such an attack to date.
