
Russian-led forces violate ceasefire in Donbas nine times
“The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms to shell Ukrainian positions,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.
In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-occupation troops used mounted antitank grenade launcher to shell Ukrainian troops near Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms – outside Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol); 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms – in the area of Pavlopil (25km north-west of Mariupol); small arms – near Vasylivka (20km north of Donetsk).
In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired 120mm and grenade launchers of different systems on Ukrainian positions near Orikhove (57km north-west of Luhansk); hand-held antitank grenade launcher, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk);
No casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported on January 17.
Today, the Russian-occupation troops have opened fire from small arms on Ukrainian defenders near Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk). One Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
