No orders have been received from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Minister of Defense, or the Chief of the General Staff regarding the disengagement of troops in other areas, so the disengagement in other areas won’t be held prior to the Normandy format meeting.

“As far as I know: the disengagement [of troops] in these three localities was held and that's all. The General Staff is exploring other sections of the 400 km front. But neither the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the Minister, nor the Chief of the General Staff in other areas set any tasks. The order is clear: [the disengagement of troops in] three localities and then we are waiting for our president to participate in the Normandy format meeting. The decision on the disengagement is likely to be made based on the meeting results,” Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, member of the Servant of the People party Oleksandr Zavitnevych said in an interview with the BBC News Ukraine.

He noted that in June-July many people did not believe in the possibility of the disengagement of troops but the situation in Stanytsia Luhanska indicates that it improved the security situation in the area.

On November 9, the Ukrainian military and Russian-occupation troops started the process of disengagement of forces and hardware at the site No.3 in the area of the villages of Bohdanivka and Petrivske in Donetsk region. After the withdrawal, the mine clearance started.

On November 1, 2019, the reciprocal disengagement of forces and hardware at the site No.2 near Zolote-4 locality in Luhansk region was completed.

The disengagement of forces of Ukrainian army and occupation troops on the site No.1 in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska took place in June.
