Russian-led armed formations violate ceasefire six times in Donbas

Russian occupation forces violated ceasefire six times, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements five times, in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine over the past day.

“In the zone of action of tactical force “East“, the invaders used 120mm mortars and grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian strongholds near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk); sniper's weapon – outside Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports on Facebook.

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, Russian-led forces fired 82mm and 120mm mortars on Ukrainian troops in the area of Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars – outside Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk); hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Zolote-1 (60km west of Luhansk).

One Ukrainian soldier was killed as a result of the shelling.

The Joint Forces returned fire in response to the enemy’s shelling. Tree invaders were killed and five more were wounded.

Today, the Russian-led armed formations have not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire regime.
