Militants violated ceasefire in eastern Ukraine nine times in last day

Militants violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas nine times over the past day. 

“In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, militants used automatic grenade launchers to fire on Ukrainian positions near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk), automatic grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – near Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol), grenade launchers and small arms – outside Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol), grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms – near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), grenade launchers and small arms – near Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, Ukrainian strongholds came under 120mm mortar fire in the area of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk).

According to the intelligence, five militants were killed and another one was wounded on January 24.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.

The Ukrainian servicemen continue to control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire regime.
