No casualties among Ukrainian servicemen over past 24 hours

No Ukrainian serviceman has been killed or injured as a result of hostilities in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in east Ukraine over the past 24 hours, Defense Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Motuzianyk has said.

"None of the Ukrainian servicemen have been killed or wounded as a result of hostilities in the past day," he said at a briefing on Tuesday.

Motuzianyk said that the militants opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian military only once near Stanytsia Luhanska.

At the same time, most of the armed provocations by illegal armed groups were recorded in the Donetsk sector. In particular, militants shelled with mortars three times near Avdiivka, and also used grenade launchers of various systems.

"The enemy violated the ceasefire in the Donetsk sector 11 times and used heavy weapons in three cases," he said.

At the same time, in the Mariupol sector, militants fired 20 mortars in the direction of Ukrainian positions near Krasnohorivka, Motuzianyk said.
