National Guard conscription starts in Ukraine

Conscription for compulsory service in the National Guard of Ukraine begins today, August 8.
“We confirm, there will be additional conscription,” the press service of the National Guard reports.
Additional conscription is announced to select 1,000 candidates to be trained in the National Guard for the further protection of agencies and institutions of the justice system.
“In line with paragraph 39 of Section XII of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judicial System and the Status of Judges", this function is temporarily assigned to the units of the National Guard and the National Police," reads the report.
