Militants launch 61 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

Russian-backed militants launched 61 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past day.

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

As reported, the enemy violated ceasefire 29 times in Luhansk direction. The militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns, and small arms to fire at Ukrainian positions near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), and Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk).

In Mariupol direction, 23 attacks were launched on ATO troops. Ukrainian positions near Hranitne (57km south of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), and Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) came under heavy machine gun, grenade launcher, and small arm fire. In addition, the militants used 122mm artillery to shell Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk).

Nine more attacks were launched on Ukrainian positions in Donetsk direction. The terrorists used small arms, machine guns, and grenade launchers to fire at Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk) and Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk) and 82mm mortars to shell Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk).
