Ukraine’s top prosecutor tells how many Russian war crimes registered per day
Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin reported this via Facebook, Ukrinform learned.
"The historic Peace Summit brought together representatives from more than 100 states and organizations for the common goal of restoring and preserving a just peace. It is an honor for me to join the discussion at the summit along with the brave Ukrainians who survived war crimes committed by Russia,"Kostin said.
To date, the prosecutor's office has registered almost 130,000 war crimes, which is an average of 150 crimes per day. Every 10 minutes, Russia commits a crime against Ukraine and Ukrainians.
"I sincerely hope that the summit will strengthen the efforts of the international community to stop these crimes. This includes work on the release and return of Ukrainian civilians illegally held by the Russian Federation and children forcibly deported by the aggressor," Andriy Kostin adds.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Switzerland expressed readiness to hold the second Summit on Peace in Ukraine.
