Defense Forces launch counterattacks near Charivne in Zaporizhzhia region; no Russian advancement in south, says Voloshyn

Ukrainian forces are conducting counterattacks in the Charivne area of the Zaporizhzhia region; meanwhile, no Russian military advances or loss of positions in the southern sector have been recorded in recent days.

This was reported by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, in a comment to Ukrinform.

“Near Huliaipole, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting some counterattacks to regain lost territory near the village of Charivne,” he said.

According to the spokesperson, there have been virtually no enemy advances in the southern sectors.

“We have not lost any positions in the southern sectors over the past few days either,” Voloshyn assured.

As reported by Ukrinform, over the past day, April 26, 241 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front lines; the enemy was most active in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 55 Russian assaults.
