War update: 91 clashes on front line since morning, with Russian troops concentrating their efforts in three sectors

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 16:00 on Thursday, March 19, according to Ukrinform.

The invaders continue to strike Ukrainian border areas. Today, the settlements of Budky, Iskryskivshchyna, Ryzhivka, Otruba, Volfyne, Vovkivka, Khodyne, Bachivsk, Hirky, Rohizne, Korenok, Esman, Ulanove, Starykove, and Stukalivka in the Sumy region came under enemy fire.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, one combat engagement took place.

“The Defense Forces have certain tactical successes in this sector,” the General Staff noted.

Russian troops in this sector shelled settlements and Ukrainian defensive positions 59 times, including once with a multiple launch rocket system.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy carried out 17 attacks toward Prylipka, Lyman, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Tykhe, Bochkovе, Okhrimivka, Zybyne, Chuhunivka, Fyholivka, and Krasne Pershe. Two assault actions by the invaders are ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces attempted six times to improve their positions near Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Novoplatonivka, and Borivska Andriivka. Two attacks are ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 enemy attempts to advance toward Hrekivka, Nadiia, Novomykhailivka, Novoserhiivka, Olhivka, Serednie, Korovyi Yar, Drobysheve, Zarichne, Lyman, and Dibrova. Eight attacks are still ongoing.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces tried six times to advance toward the positions of the Defense Forces near Zakitne, Riznykivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka. Three assault actions are ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attacked twice toward Malynivka and Kostiantynivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders carried out 16 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and Novopavlivka. Two battles are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces attempted 16 times to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Bilytske, Sukhetske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka. Three attacks are ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out six offensives toward Sichneve, Sosnivka, Krasnohirskе, and Zlahoda, and conducted airstrikes in the areas of Ivanivka and Prosianka.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces attacked five times toward Defense Forces positions near Zelenе, Zaliznychne, Dobropillia, and Myrne. Three assault actions are ongoing.

The invaders also carried out airstrikes in the areas of Huliaipole, Kopani, Myrne, and Tersianka.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attacked once toward Stepove and conducted airstrikes in the areas of Veselianka, Malokaterynivka, and Yurkivka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces have not yet launched any assault actions today.

In other sectors of the front, the enemy also did not attempt to advance.

The Ukrainian military is wearing down the invaders along the entire line of contact and in the rear.

As Ukrinform reported, in the south, Russian troops are trying to establish a foothold on certain islands of the Dnipro River and expand their presence in the river zone.
