Nine settlements liberated on Oleksandrivka axis – General Staff
According to Ukrinform, the press service of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Telegram, citing the Air Assault Forces command.
"As of now, nine settlements have been liberated. Three settlements in our zone have been cleared of the enemy, and work is currently underway to liberate several more settlements. Military units and formations of the Air Assault Forces grouping continue active offensive operations on the Oleksandrivka axis, imposing their own terms of battle on the enemy," the statement said.
During the operation, Ukrainian forces are systematically and decisively pushing the enemy out of fortified positions, destroying the occupiers' manpower, weapons, military and special equipment with precision and massed strikes.
The General Staff stressed that "in accordance with the plan of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, under the clear leadership of the commander of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces," the offensive operation has been implemented consistently and effectively.
"The operation was carried out according to the defined plan, and within a week, as a result of decisions taken and the use of technical means, the enemy forces' access to the Starlink network was restricted. This significantly affected the occupiers' situational awareness and complicated command and control of their units at the initial stage, but the enemy did not stop its offensive actions and continued moving forward. Aerial reconnaissance units and FPV drone teams are working continuously and effectively, detecting and destroying targets and leaving the enemy with no safe rear," the General Staff said.
According to the report, since the start of the operation (from January 29 to the present), enemy losses amounted to 6,537 personnel, including 4,355 killed, 2,167 wounded, and 15 captured.
In addition, 419 pieces of enemy weapons and military equipment have been destroyed.
