Zelensky discusses need to strengthen air defense with MEPs

President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed Ukraine's need to strengthen its air defense with a delegation from the United for Ukraine parliamentary group in the European Parliament.

The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“I met with a delegation from the United for Ukraine parliamentary group in the European Parliament. We are counting on Europe's continued unity in supporting Ukraine and in the negotiation process to end the war. We discussed our country's need to strengthen its air defense, in particular by scaling up the PURL program and using the European SAFE mechanism,” he wrote.

Zelensky expressed his gratitude to MEPs from Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Finland, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and Sweden for supporting our country during this difficult time. He emphasized that Ukraine greatly appreciates it.

As reported by Ukrinform, the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing took place on February 24 in Kyiv and brought together 36 representatives from different countries offline and online.
