Russian missile strike destroys enterprise in Sumy region

An enterprise in the Shostka district of the Sumy region has been destroyed as a result of a Russian strike.

According to Ukrinform, the Shostka District Military Administration reported this on Facebook.

“As a result of a missile strike on the Bereza community on the evening of February 17, a local enterprise was destroyed. Equipment used to support the functioning of this and neighboring communities suffered significant damage,” the statement said.

The Shostka District Military Administration also reported that residential buildings were damaged in the attack.

The relevant services are working at the site of the strike, and the area is being surveyed, and the consequences of the destruction are being documented.

No information about casualties has been received.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that during the day, from the morning of February 17 to the morning of February 18, 2026, Russian troops carried out more than 70 shellings of 26 settlements in 15 territorial communities of the region.

The most shelling was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
