Czech initiative sends shipment of generators to Kyiv
This was announced on the social network X by the initiative's founder and head, Martin Ondráček, according to Ukrinform.
According to Ondráček, two trucks have been loaded with generators for heat production with a total capacity of 2,442 kilowatts. They are expected to arrive in Kyiv on Sunday or Monday.
“And by the middle of next week, your money will start to generate heat... Thank you for helping Kyiv stay warm,” Ondráček said to the donors.
The cargo will be received by the Kyiv Military Chaplains Organization, which will ensure the fair distribution of the devices.
The initiative has raised nearly 180 million crowns (7.4 million euros) for generators for Kyiv, which has suffered the worst Russian terrorist attacks on its energy infrastructure since the start of the full-scale invasion.
As reported, the SOS KYJEV emergency fundraiser was announced on the evening of January 21. The fundraiser is open-ended and has no specific target amount.
