Reports claiming that the settlement of Zlahoda on the border of the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions has allegedly come under Russian control are not true.

This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by Vladyslav Voloshyn, Spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the South.

“Some of our resources circulated unverified information that the settlement of Zlahoda, on the border of the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, had come under Russian control,” he said.

According to Voloshyn, Ukrainian troops continue to hold positions in the settlement.

“This information does not correspond to reality. Our military personnel are present in the settlement and are holding our positions there,” the Spokesperson stressed.

Voloshyn added that stable communications and logistics have been ensured with the units deployed there.

“Communications and logistics have been established with them, so this settlement remains under the control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine,” he said.

The Spokesperson urged the public to rely only on verified sources of information.

“I urge everyone to use only official information from the official sources of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as official sources of our units and groupings,” Voloshyn concluded.
