Over 3,200 high-rise buildings in Kyiv left without heating after massive Russian attack
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Development of Communities and Territories Oleksii Kuleba.
“The situation in the country’s energy system remains difficult after yet another massive shelling. Kyiv has been affected the most,” the statement said.
Emergency repair and restoration work is ongoing in the capital around the clock. Due to Russian strikes, more than 3,200 multi-storey residential buildings are currently without heating.
Kuleba said that more than 160 repair crews are working on the ground, including 35 additional teams from Ukrzaliznytsia, 20 teams from Kyiv region, and more than 25 teams from Vinnytsia, Rivne, Volyn, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Odesa, and Zakarpattia regions.
“Stable operation of the city’s water supply is gradually being restored. Both the left and right banks now have water. The sewage system is operating normally,” he added.
Meanwhile, in Chernihiv, more than 400,000 consumers were without electricity in the morning. Power supply has now been restored, and heating and water services are also available.
As reported by Ukrinform, during the massive overnight attack on Ukraine on January 24, Russian forces launched more than 370 attack drones and 21 missiles of various types.
