Television project director Yurii Mihashko killed at war
According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Novyi Channel stated this on Instagram.
"A few days ago, Yurii was killed in combat in the Sumy sector. This is an extremely painful loss. We express our sincere condolences to Yurii's family and to all his loved ones, friends, and colleagues," the statement said.
As his colleagues noted, Yurii worked for about 10 years as a director at the Novyi Channel and also as a production designer on other projects of the Starlight Production media group's TV channels.
He joined the Defense Forces of Ukraine in March 2022.
The Novyi Channel press service stated that the date and time of the farewell ceremony for Yurii Mihashko will be announced later.
As Ukrinform previously reported, on January 1, a servicewoman of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, Lana "Sati" Chornohorska, was killed on the southern front as a result of an enemy drone strike.
